Warm, without the extra layers
A winter footmuff keeps your child warm from the first cold day, without having to bundle them into several layers. That's more comfortable for your child, easier for you – and the harness of your stroller or infant carrier runs through the harness slots, directly against your child's body.
Only two things decide which footmuff suits you: where it needs to sit, and how warm it needs to be. Everything else is features and design.
Step 1: Which size?

Size 0 – for infant carriers and carrycots
The compact size for the first months. At roughly 45 × 80 cm it fits carrycots and Group 0 car seats without bunching up. The opening at the back makes the footmuff suitable for both 3-point and 5-point harness systems, and the central or front zipper makes it easy to lay your child in.
Always follow the instruction manual for your car seat: it tells you how a footmuff may be fitted and how the harness has to run.

Standard – for buggies, sport strollers and prams
Once your child sits up, length matters: 50 × 100 cm and more. These footmuffs fit almost any sport stroller, buggy and pram, and work in both the seated and the reclined position. On many models the top section comes off – the footmuff then becomes a seat liner for milder days.
For ergonomic seat units there are separate, narrower models.
Step 2: Which lining?

Fleece
●●○○ down to −10 °C
Coral fleece and polar fleece are soft, light and machine washable at 30 °C – the right choice for anyone who would rather not worry about stains. Made for most winter days and rated down to around −10 °C.

Teddy plush
●●○○ down to −10 °C
Denser and fluffier than fleece, temperature-regulating and still washable at 30 °C. On some models teddy is used on the outside as well. Rated down to around −10 °C like fleece, but noticeably cosier.

Vegan faux fur
●●●○ down to −15 °C
As soft as real fur, yet 100 % animal-free and washable at 30 °C. For families who care about animal welfare and don't want to compromise on the look. Rated down to around −15 °C.

Lambskin
●●●● down to −30 °C
Merino lambskin regulates temperature rather than simply insulating, and it stays breathable. The warmest choice – rated down to around −30 °C – and thanks to that natural property it is comfortable on milder transitional days too. Lambskin isn't machine washed: brush it, and clean it with a lambskin shampoo when needed.
All temperature figures are guidelines and assume warm, season-appropriate clothing underneath. How warm your child actually feels also depends on wind, sunlight and their individual sensitivity to cold. Our practical tip: check the back of your child's neck now and then – warm and dry means the temperature is right.

Down – plenty of warmth, very little weight
On the Hybrid the warmth doesn't come from the lining but from the filling. The front is filled with down: down holds a great deal of warmth at very little weight, because it builds up a large volume of air.
That volume is exactly what's missing where the child lies – which is why the back is filled with polyester. It holds its shape and stays easy to care for, while the down does the work at the front. On the outside, lightweight and durable Taslan gives water-repellent, breathable protection; inside, soft coral fleece sits against your child.
The down-filled front section can be removed, so both parts can be cleaned separately – handy, because in everyday use usually only one side needs it.
The Hybrid is made for colder winter days, roughly −10 °C to 0 °C.
Care
Brush it, and clean it with a special lambskin shampoo when needed – not in the machine.
Machine washable at 30 °C
Machine wash at 30 °C on a gentle spin cycle, without bleach or fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat and add a few clean tennis balls – they fluff the down up and keep it from clumping. Let it dry through completely before storing, and shake it out gently.
Features in detail

Harness slots
For 3-point and 5-point harness systems. The harness runs through the footmuff, not over it.

Opening at the back
The footmuff wraps around the carrier shell, leaving the harness system freely accessible.

Dirt protection at the foot
Tough fabric where damp and dirt end up – it stays clean even when shoes are worn.

Removable top section
The footmuff becomes a seat liner or a changing mat.

All-around zipper
Opens completely – lay your child in without any twisting.

Anti-slip back
The footmuff stays where you put it.

Ergonomic fit
Not just a straight sack: the shape follows the way a child actually sits in a buggy. That means more stable support and far fewer folds of fabric.

Reflective material
Better visibility at dusk.
Accessories

Hand muffs
Muffs with press studs for the stroller handle, lined with fleece, teddy or lambskin. With a pocket for your phone, and some models with reflective outer fabric.

Lambskin liners
Made from 100 % Merino lambskin, temperature-balancing – warming in winter, cooling in summer. For prams, carrycots and buggies, with some models featuring dirt protection in the foot area.

Care
A special shampoo for everything made from genuine lambskin. It cleans gently, replenishes the natural oils and preserves the fleece's natural structure.
